THIS IS NOT A DRILL - PREPARE AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. REVIEW ALL CONTINGENCIES, HAVE GEAR STAGED ACCORDINGLY, EVACUATION ROUTES MAPPED (WITH ALTERNATE ROUTES ALSO IDENTIFIED), AND MAKE SURE BUG OUT DESTINATIONS ARE CLEARED BEFORE ARRIVAL (IF A BUGOUT LOCATION IS COMPROMISED, REVERT TO BACKUP PLANS).

So now is a time to build up your ammo cache, your gun collection, stockpile food and water and medical supplies,
Have on hand a backup generator or two, flashlights, batteries and lanterns. Have wood prepared to board up your homes in times of an emergency so you don't have to run to home Depot for that crap because once you get there it'll probably be gone already.
Nails, hammers, and tools necessary for damage control.
Hand held radios and a CB for communication.
Don't forget spare gas on hand and oil for home use.
