A Colorado man visiting Yellowstone National Park with his family was gored by a bull bison near Old Faithful over the weekend.
Park officials said in a news release that the 34-year-old man was walking with his family on a boardwalk when their group was charged by a bull bison. The bull continued to charge the family when they did not leave the area, and the man sustained an arm injury and was taken to the hospital.
Rob Goodell happened to be at the park and recorded a video of the incident, which he shared with KTVX. The video shows the animal lifting, then tossing the man to the ground before walking away in the other direction.

Goodell told [url=https://www.abc4.com/news/national/video-shows-bison-attacking-family-at-yellowstone-national-park/]KTVX that before he started recording, he had been following the bison and noticed that the man in the hat approached the bison and got too close.
In their news release, park officials said that this was the second reported incident this year of a visitor getting too close to a bison and being gored. A 25-year-old woman from Grove City, Ohio, was gored in May after approaching a bison in the same area, as we reported at the time.
Bison have injured more people at Yellowstone National Park than any other animal, the Park Service told The Washington Post. Bison are the largest mammals in North America, and can run three times faster than humans.
